ANNUAL UPDATE
This course takes place over half a day (3 hours). One Day Course (3 Hours)A three-hour course available to First Aiders to prevent ‘skills fade’ during the 3 year lifespan of their FAW or EFAW certificate. This course is strongly recommended by the HSE to help reduce ‘skills fade’.
Candidates should demonstrate their competence to:
- Assess the situation in an emergency
- Administer first aid to a casualty who is unconscious (including seizure)
- Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- Administer first aid to a casualty who is wounded and bleeding
- Administer first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock
